The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed in regards to the high range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some here substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The provider place produced for intervention experiences a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough for that Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to enable the servicing of all consumers and enhance usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
